Our Approach

From Access to Participation.

Relationships create opportunities. Evaluation, structure, and ongoing management shape how investors participate.

What MVV does

Five areas of our work

Relationship-driven sourcing

We draw on established sponsor, manager, and business-owner relationships to identify selected opportunities across private markets. Repeat relationships provide context on the people behind a transaction and how they work with investors.

Sponsor selection

For select co-investments, we seek experienced, blue-chip institutional sponsors with demonstrated capabilities relevant to the opportunity. Our review considers the team's experience in the strategy and sector, prior execution, operating resources, governance, and economic alignment with investors. Firm reputation informs our assessment; the specific transaction, team, terms, and risks remain central.

Opportunity evaluation

We assess the investment thesis, business or asset fundamentals, sponsor or management experience, capital structure, terms, and principal risks. Our work incorporates materials and diligence from the underlying sponsor or manager, together with additional review appropriate to MVV's role in the investment.

Vehicle formation and structuring

For opportunities pursued through MVV-managed vehicles, we partner with qualified legal and administrative service providers on vehicle formation, governing documents, subscriptions, and investor onboarding. Providers deliver the specialist services within their respective roles, while MVV coordinates the process and oversees the vehicle. Offering documents set out the investment terms, fees, conflicts, and risks.

Ongoing management

MVV oversees the vehicle throughout its lifecycle and coordinates with the underlying sponsor and qualified service providers. We partner with specialist providers for accounting, bookkeeping, capital-call administration, distribution processing, and ongoing vehicle administration. Those providers carry out the administrative services within their respective roles; MVV provides vehicle oversight and investor communications.

The underlying sponsor or manager remains responsible for its investment or operating activities as described in the relevant documents.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does MVV manage?

Dedicated private investment vehicles, including SPVs, feeder funds, and co-investment vehicles for selected opportunities.

Who can participate?

Participation depends on the eligibility requirements and terms of each offering. An inquiry does not establish eligibility or an allocation.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Minimum commitments vary by opportunity and are specified in the relevant offering documents.

Do investors choose which investments to make?

Investors decide whether to participate in a particular MVV offering. For a vehicle investing in a fund, the underlying manager makes investment decisions under that fund's governing documents.

How are fees and expenses disclosed?

The relevant offering and governing documents describe fees, expenses, conflicts, and investment terms.

How long are investments held?

Investment horizons and liquidity provisions vary. Private investments can be illiquid and involve loss of principal; review each offering's materials.

Can an investor continue working with an RIA?

MVV's vehicle-management role complements the RIA's existing client relationship and portfolio advice; it does not establish a separate individual portfolio advisory relationship.
